Why choose Little Owletts?
Little Owletts is a family run business based on traditional family values: love, support, encouragement and of course, development.
Every session is carefully designed based on the Early Years curriculum to support your child’s holistic development.
Emily, our teacher at Little Owletts, is an Early Years specialist and differentiates each session to meet every baby's/child's developmental needs.
It is always a very relaxed atmosphere at Little Owletts with many opportunities for children and adults alike to develop fantastic friendships.
Is my baby too young to attend?
No, not at all!
Research shows that even if your baby sleeps through the session, they still benefit from the sounds that they experience.
Little Owletts sessions are suitable from birth to pre-school (0-4 years) and have four separate sessions to suit all of these ages/stages.
Tiny Owletts - multi sensory session suitable from birth to sitting
Baby Owletts - multi sensory session suitable from sitting to standing
Explorer Owletts - multi sensory session suitable from standing to confidently walking
Owletts Spa - baby massage and sensory exploration suitable from birth to pre-crawling
Don’t worry if you bring a young baby and they sleep during the session, they will still benefit from attending (and it’s a great opportunity to meet other parents/carers to socialise too!)
What if my child needs feeding, changing, is unsettled etc?
As you all know, I’m a Mummy to two little ones so I totally understand the joys (and challenges!) of parenthood. It is always a very relaxed atmosphere at Little Owletts so just go with your baby/child’s needs as you would at home. If you need to change, feed, soothe or anything else to support your baby/child, please do. We have a changing mat that can be used as well as weighing scales.
Why are baby/toddler groups important?
Baby/toddler groups are essential for parents/carers as they provide a supportive and nurturing environment for both babies and their grown-ups too.
This is one of our main goals at Little Owletts. Our founders, Emily and Adam, had their first daughter in the midst of lockdowns. Although they loved their new life as a family of three, it was incredibly lonely and overwhelming at times. These were experiences they vowed they never wanted any other parents to have to go through. Parenthood should not have to be an isolated game!
Little Owletts offers valuable opportunities for parents/carers to connect with others going through the same experience, share knowledge and also exchange the odd parenting tip!
Additionally, Little Owletts provides a social outlet for parents/carers and babies/children, helping to build a sense of community and support during the challenging and rewarding journey of parenthood.
All Little Owletts sessions are based upon the Early Years curriculum to support your child’s development, presented in a highly engaging way to stimulate their incredible brains. Remember, 80% of brain development happens from 0-3 years - let us help you make the most of it!
The class is sold out - can I join a waiting list?
A waiting list option is available for sold out classes.
However, the waiting list doesn't apply across multiple dates.
When you join a waiting list, you only join for the individual session you selected. This means that you won't be notified if any other sessions in the term become available.
You therefore either need to sign up to every waiting list for the remaining sessions or add yourself to the waiting list one week at a time, whichever is most convenient for you.
A baby owl, an ‘owlet’, has one ‘t’. Why are you ‘Little Owletts’ with a double ‘t’?
Little Owletts is a play on our surname, Howlett. It makes us unique, allows us to create a new brand and showcases what we are all about – our family!
What if I can't make a class?
Don't worry, if you can't attend a class - there are several options available:
1 - If the class you're booked onto is fully booked, we can try to sell your space as a PAYG space. If we do re-sell your space, we will refund you for the session you cannot attend. Please give us as much notice as possible to stand the best chance of this.
2 - You can gift your space to a friend. Please just let Emily know and ask your friend to complete the following form:
littleowletts.co.uk/book/gifted
3 - If there are spaces on your class at a different venue that week, you can attend a different venue. Please make sure you ask Emily if there is space and give as much notice as possible.
